Sweet and Sour Pork *Crispy pork coated in a balanced sweet and tangy sauce just right. Yam Basket *Crispy yam ring with a saucy stir-fry inside. Crunchy outside and soft and tasty inside. "I would always come here for the stuff fish. Just love the food here and this place hv been around 40 years and guess all like oldies. The youngster just don’t know what they are missing. All they want is good environment and not good food. Want to hv good n traditional food, it’s a must come here must call to book a table. Its a good time come in by 6 -6:30 pm"

"Go early to get parking as it’s located in a popular food spot with lots of many different restaurants. Ordered steam chicken, yam basket, spinach soup and their famous stuffed fish. Steam chicken tasted good, yam basket is soft yam inside and crispy outside. Stuffed fish is actually fish cake stuffed into fish skin, I like it. Overall food is tasty."

It’s the sort of restaurant where regulars don’t linger over choices—they order, nod, and wait, because they already trust the kitchen. The standout is the stuffed beancurd skin rolled pork. The beancurd skin is thin and supple rather than dry, wrapped snugly around a savoury pork filling that’s well-seasoned without being heavy-handed. When done right, it delivers that perfect contrast: a gentle chew from the beancurd, followed by juicy, aromatic pork that releases flavour with each bite. It’s rich but balanced, comforting rather than greasy—one of those dishes that quietly anchors the whole meal and keeps you thinking about it long after you’ve paid the bill."

"A long standing restaurant in SS2 that has stood the test of time. And once you try the food here, you’ll understand why. The signature dish is, of course, the village chicken. I guess this refers to free range chicken or colloquially referred to as kampung (village in Malay) chicken. You must also try the fish curry, which was out of this world. The curry is so thick and flavorful. One downside, which is quite common amongst local restaurants, is the noise level in the small confined space with lack of sound absorbing material. Parking wise is a bit of a hit or miss. Limited parking in a highly popular area. Come during off peak or park further away and walk."

"The signature dishes like village steamed chicken, stuffed senangin, yong taufu are delicious. It's a place where we go back time & again for comfort food. Only improvement we hope for is that the lady boss could have been more reasonable when it comes to dining time. She should follow some restaurants in setting say 1.5 hrs dining time to handle the crowd, instead of hovering over us in our first hour of dining & asking her staff to clear the plates. It's unpleasant especially when we have guests with us."
